87 - Play with an activity center

Most dogs love to work through and under and over obstacles, through a tunnel, along a line of poles and so on. You can set up an exciting activity center in your home or even build a permanent structure in your garden.

Set up an activity center in your home.

We have used a children's activity center, which is inexpensive, fun and great for teaching spatial awareness. It can be used indoors or outdoors and can be broken down into different sections to help a more anxious dog to get used to the unusual shapes. Make sure that it is stable and won't move about too much to begin with. When the tunnel and tepees are put together, the dog can learn to negotiate from tent to tent via the tunnel.
