    Puli |Hungry|

The origin of the Puli is a mystery. There is speculation that they developed either from herding dogs of the Magyar people who settled in the Danube region in the ninth century, or that they arrived with the Cumans in the thirteenth century. Both peoples had herding and guarding dogs, and the Hungarian Komondor, Puli, Pumi, and Mudi are believed to share a similar heritage. Pulis are intensely tough working dogs whose enormous corded coats provides them with great protection against the elements and predators. They are inclined to bark excessively and are active, agile, comical, curious, and headstrong. They are fiercely protective of their families and can be wary of other dogs.
