Olde English Bulldogge |United States|

Olde English Bulldogge |United States|

This recent breed was developed in the 1970s by David Leavitt in Pennsylvania using English Bulldogs, Bullmastiffs, American Bulldogs, and American Pit Bull Terriers. His objective was to re-create “the Regency period bull baiter,” returning to the renowned athleticism of the historic English Bulldog type, while maintaining the excellent temperament of the modern breed. The United Kennel Club recognized the Olde English Bulldogge standard on January 1, 2014. These are friendly, confident, and alert dogs that can make suitable companions and are good watchdogs.
