    Eurasier |Germany|

Also known as the Eurasian, this relatively new breed was developed in Germany in the 1960s as a companion animal. Breeders initially crossed Chow Chows with Keeshonds, trying to produce the best qualities from both breeds. At first, the new breed was called the Wolf-Chow, but after Samoyed was also introduced to the breed, the name was changed to the Eurasier. These dogs have a lovely temperament—calm, affectionate, and obedient. They are very loyal to their families, reserved but unaggressive with strangers, and generally have no hunting instinct.
