Chinook |United States|

Chinook |United States|

The Chinook is one of just a few all-American breeds and was developed in Wanalancet, New Hampshire, by polar explorer Arthur Treadwell Walden in the early 1900s. Walden made his Chinooks famous through his expeditions and they proved themselves a worthy adversary to other sled breeds such as the Husky and Malamute. Although once kept mainly as a working breed, today Chinooks are chiefly kept as companions. They are best suited to active homes and excel at sledding, agility, and high-octane activities.
