    Bull Terrier |England|

During the 1850s, breeder James Hinks set out to create a “Gentleman’s Companion” using bulldogs and terriers originally bred for fighting, crossing them with Dalmations and English White Terriers, which are now extinct. He aimed to develop a white dog, which became known as the “White Cavalier.” Later introductions of Greyhound, Spanish Pointer, Foxhound, Whippet, Borzoi, and Collie were made to achieve the head’s distinctive curved profile, and in the 1900s, Staffordshire Bull Terriers were used to reintroduce color to the breed. Bull Terriers are humorous, assertive, bold, affectionate dogs with enormous personalities and a great sense of fun. They can be stubborn, though, and may be aggressive with other dogs.
