    Brazilian Terrier |Brazil|

The Brazilian Terrier developed from various terrier breeds that were taken into Brazil by European immigrants, including Jack Russell Terriers, Fox Terriers, and Pinschers. Today, the Brazilian bears a close resemblance to the Jack Russell Terrier, and shares many of that breed’s qualities. The Brazilian was, and still is, widely used on farms and in homes to keep vermin populations at bay, but it has also become popular as a companion animal and serves as an efficient watchdog. Brazilians are often used in conjunction with Filo Brasileiros when guarding properties. They have adapted to their climate and environment with ease and are tenacious hunters. These are lively, intelligent dogs that do best in active homes that challenge them physically and mentally.
