Bedlington Terrier |England|

Bedlington Terrier |England|

This distinctive breed is one of the fastest terriers, noted for its great turn of speed. The breed developed in Northumberland and was first mentioned in the eighteenth century. Although their precise origins are not known, Bedlingtons are thought to have Whippet, Rough-Coated Scotch Terrier, and Dandie Dinmont in their foundations. These dogs take their name from the northern mining town of Bedlington, England. They are affectionate, demonstrative, and calm in nature, but can be reserved and occasionally aggressive with other dogs. Their coats require a lot of upkeep.
