FURNITURE JUMPING

I don’t want my pet jumping on my couch, but he started doing this instead of climbing up his cat furniture the way he once did. What can I do?

You should look at the cat furniture from his or her pet’s point of view. If the furniture is tall, perhaps it’s time for a change. The bones and joints in an older cat are less elastic. This makes climbing more challenging, so your pet may have stopped using the cat furniture because climbing it has become too difficult.

Another possibility is that the cat has started going on the couch because if offers a soft

place to sleep. If this is the case, you should look into buying a plush cat bed.
